Biography
Dr. Yi Zhang received his B.Eng. degree in Electronic Information Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University and his Ph.D. degree in Electronic Science and Technology from Zhejiang University. He was a visiting joint Ph.D. student at the National University of Singapore, supported by the China Scholarship Council (CSC). He worked as a Wireless System Engineer (Blue Sword Program) at ZTE Corporation from 2024 to 2025. In October 2025, he joined the Center for Network and Machine Intelligence at the Shenzhen Institute of Big Data.
Dr. Zhang has long been engaged in research on computational electromagnetics, radar signal processing, deep learning, and Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC). His research interests include intelligent wireless communications, multimodal intelligent sensing, reinforcement learning, and AI-enabled wireless communications. He is a recipient of the National Scholarship for Doctoral Students and the Outstanding Graduate Student Award of Zhejiang University. He has published multiple high-quality papers in prestigious international journals such as IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques and Optics Express.
