Biography
Dr. Jin Xianfei is currently a Research Scientist at the Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data (SRIBD). He received his Ph.D. in Operations Research from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2012. Dr. Jin has long been dedicated to research at the intersection of operations research and artificial intelligence in civil aviation. He previously served as a Principal Data Science and Operations Research Engineer at Sabre Corporation, a global leader in aviation IT solutions, and as Chief Representative for the Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen offices, where he led the development of core decision-support systems including gate assignment, flight recovery, and Sabre Travel AI.
His research interests cover flight schedule planning, airport ground operations, airline network design, air traffic flow management, and aviation demand forecasting, with a strong focus on integrating reinforcement learning, deep learning, and classical optimization methods. His work has been published in leading journals such as Transportation Research Part B, European Journal of Operational Research, and International Journal of Production Economics.
