Eleven Scholars from SRIBD Selected in Global Top 2% Scientists Ranking
Recently, Stanford University and Elsevier's database released the "World's Top 2% Scientists" rankings, which includes both the "Lifetime Scientific Impact," and "Annual Scientific Impact" lists, focusing on career-long and yearly academic achievements, respectively.
SRIBD has a total of 11 scholars on the list. Professors Luo Zhiquan, Zhang Rui, Li Haizhou, Wang Xuefeng, and Chang Tsunghui were listed in both the "Lifetime Scientific Impact," and "Annual Scientific Impact" categories. Professor Cai Xiaoqiang was listed in the "Lifetime Scientific Impact" category. Professors Wan Xiang, Zhu Guangxu, Yu Tianwei, He Pinjia, and Sun Ruoyu were recognized in the "2022 Annual Scientific Impact" category. These scholars are primarily recognized in fields such as information and communication technology, mathematics, and bioinformatics.

"Global Top 2% Scientists Ranking"
Based on citation data from the Scopus database, this ranking system evaluates scientists using six key indicators: total citations, Hirsch H-index, Schreiber Hm-index adjusted for co-authorship, citations as a single author or as first author, and citations as a single, first, or last author. From nearly 7 million scientists, those ranked in the top 2% globally are selected across 22 fields and 176 subfields. This provides a metric to objectively and accurately reflect scientists' long-term research performance and impact. Inclusion in the Global Top 2% Scientists Ranking signifies that the scientist holds significant worldwide influence in their research field and has made outstanding contributions to its advancement.
