MIIS 2026 International Workshop On Mathematical Issues In Information Sciences 数据科学国际研讨会
18th-20th December, 2026

The International Workshop on Mathematical Issues in Information Sciences (MIIS) was established in 2012. Over the past decade, with the efforts of Prof. Zhi-Quan (Tom) Luo, it has grown into a premier international academic conference in the field of data science.

Since 2016, the MIIS workshop has been hosted by Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data. The workshop serves as a platform for leading scientists, researchers, and engineers to exchange innovative ideas, theories, and technologies in information science and big data. Guided by the mathematics-based, data-driven, and application-oriented principle, MIIS fosters advancements in data science research and promotes its industrial applications.

MIIS 2026 will take place from December 18th to 20th, 2026. This year's edition will be jointly hosted by the Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data (SRIBD) and the Shenzhen Loop Area Institute (SLAI), with The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) as co-host, and co-organized by the Shenzhen International Center for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SICIAM), the CSIAM Activity Group on Mathematics and Industry, the Guangdong Engineering Technology Research Center of Intelligent Industrial Twin and Optimization (I2TO), the Guangdong Key Laboratory of Big Data Computing, and the Science Education Base of the Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data. The workshop will be held from December 18 to 20, 2026, across the SLAI and CUHK-Shenzhen campuses in Shenzhen, China.
