Laboratory for Public and Commercial Big Data, founded in March 2020, is committed to empowering smart government and smart business with data mining techniques. The laboratory combines research resources from the Institute with data resources from the government and the enterprises, and conducts in-depth analysis using public and industrial big data and draws upon expertise and research in artificial intelligence, statistics, economics and other areas of social science. By leveraging big data, the lab offers innovative solutions in the fields of policy analysis, urban governance, industrial planning, corporate decision-making, performance evaluation which provide the basis for evidence based policy and strategies that support governments and businesses with the challenges of digital transformation in multiple applied contexts.
